Son, Brother, Soldier, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Entrepreneur, Teacher, Humanitarian & Friend.
Charles Taylor passed away on 29 December 2014 having delivered a lifetime legacy of love and joy to his beloved wife Emmie, to his Family, and to his extended Family & Friends.
He served as the personification of a life well lived and a life well examined. He was successful in all of his endeavors but Emmie and their Family were always his North Star.
Decorated and Wounded in World War II, a first generation College Graduate, a Certified Public Accountant, a Sailor, a Business Owner, a Rancher, a Trustee…were all things he did…and he did them all extremely well.
However, they did not define who Charles Taylor was as a person.
Charles was a natural leader. A true man of character who cared deeply for his family and his friends (both two legged and four legged).
He was a man of honor and integrity, value, vitality and vigor who made a difference in the lives of everyone he touched. His balance of intellect and compassion formed the bedrock foundation of who he truly was as an individual and how he served and interacted with his family, his friends, and his community.
Predeceased by his Grandson: Andrew Francis Taylor, Charles Taylor is survived by his wife Emmie, daughters: Linda and Charlene, son: Paul, Grandchildren: Matthew, Adam, Charlie, Michael, Jordan, Allison, Paul and Katie plus Great Grandchildren: Drew, Maggie and Allison’s baby due in January.
The family extends a special thank you to the Physicians and Staff at Health Park Medical Center for the superb and compassionate care and support they provided to Charles and his entire family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marina at Edison Ford (formerly the Royal Palm Yacht Club) on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers the Family asks that donations be made in the memory of Charles Taylor to the Andrew Taylor Scholarship Fund at Florida South Western State College Foundation (8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers, FL 33919/ 239-489-9210) or to the charity of choice.
Family and Friends may also sign the guest register and/or leave a condolence message by visiting www.kiserfh.com.
“And when our work is done; Our course on earth is run; May it be said, WELL DONE; Be Thou At Peace.”
