Cole Jackson McGinnis, age 9, passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was the cherished son of Ryan and Brenda, proud big brother to Carter, and adored grandson of Kathy and Tom McGinnis, and Janet and Luis Salas and dear aunts and uncle, Brittany McGinnis, Donald Davis and Janalee Green. He also leaves behind his puppy, Kona, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who love him dearly.
Cole lived life with energy, joy, and a heart full of love. He found adventure in everything—family vacations, fishing, camping, playing football, tennis, Roblox, and especially Judo, where he earned the nickname “Samurai.” A gifted artist, his sketches filled every corner of the house. Fearless and funny, Cole was quick with a joke, confident in being himself, and never afraid to take the lead.
Above all, Cole loved Jesus. He reminded his family to pray at dinner, sang worship songs on road trips, and inspired faith in everyone around him. Though his time on earth was far too short, his life was full — overflowing with laughter, courage, and love. We take comfort in knowing he is healed and free in heaven, running, playing, and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 1st at Next Level Church – East/Gateway 11081 Gateway Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33913. Entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida.
