Daniel H Riley

Daniel H Riley of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on August 18th 2025. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica on July 28th, 1944 to parents Daniel and Hilda Riley as the first of four children. He graduated from the College of Arts, Science and Technology in Jamaica with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Daniel started his work career as a field supervisor for drilling projects all over Jamaica. He also ran a heavy duty haulage contracting business. When his father passed away in 1978, he resigned from his job to take over the family's animal feed production business. Later on, he migrated to the United States, where he worked as a truck driver carrying heavy weight concrete block structures to construction sites across Florida.

On July 30th, 1988, Daniel married Barvel Banks. Together they had three children, Sheree, Daniel, and Matthew. He had a passion for cars, mechanics, fishing and farming.

He was a member of New Life Assembly in Lehigh Acres. He is survived by his wife Barvel, his children Sheree, Daniel, and Matthew, his siblings Elaine, Bertha, and Faith, his nephews Christopher, Andrew, and Daniel, his cousins, and other relatives.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Community Church, 8440 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 8440 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.

A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, 12777 State Rd 82, Ft Myers, Florida 33913.
