Don Eugene Norris

He was born to Erma and Dean Norris in Shelbyville, IL on July 9, 1953 where he spent his childhood. Don moved to Florida (1983) with his late wife Kim Norris and son Tyler Norris. Don built the first car wash in Lehigh Acres in 1985, and had several other business endeavors with good friend Ralph Hester including Big Daddy’s Performance Parts Store.

Don was in the John Deere Tractor business for 44 years, working for the wonderful Schlechter family at Everglades Farm Equipment for 22 of those years.

Don was an avid car and antique tractor collector, finding joy in drag racing and attending the races at Immokalee Regional Raceway, Flywheelers Shows in Avon Park and Barrett Jackson car auctions with his wife Renee.

Don is preceded in death by his late wife Kim Norris and leaves behind his wife of 18 years Renee Norris, his son Tyler Norris, daughters Heather (Tony) Zangari and Alexandra Isenhour (Brent Bramhall), grandchildren Jaylee, Zayda, and Nathan; Brother Bill (Sharon) Norris, Sisters Linda (John) Spears, Mary (Mick) Yarnell, and Lisa Doss, and many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved boxer Tippy Dean Norris.

Don requested that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lee County Domestic Animal Services or Animal Refuge Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Faith Assembly of God Church 6950 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
