Erma Mary Strickland, 92, of Fort Myers passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on May 15, 1924 to Lorenzo and Rebecca Drakeford. She worked for the Lee County School District in the food service division for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mack, two sons: Larry and Maxie Strickland and 3 sisters, Rhea, Edie and Luella. Erma is survived by two sons: Tom (Rose) Strickland and Steven (Loring) Strickland; grandchildren: Tom (Shannon) Strickland, Angela (Garry) Ireland, Christa (Matt) Campbell, Shelby (Joe) Gatewood, Matt Strickland and Ashley (Johnny) Manetta; and great grandchildren, Anthony, Justine, John, Luke, Glenn, Lane, Camri, Colton, Rex, Rylee and Preslee.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82 in Fort Myers on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm.
