Gloria Morales. Mother, nurturer, a shining example of integrity and unconditional love. She was many things but to me, she was my grandmother. After my mother, she was the second person I ever loved. She was both an unstoppable force and an immovable object, if she set her mind to it, there was nothing she couldn’t do. Through her actions and stories she would share, she taught our family the importance of hard work, dedication, seeing the good in people, and loving life to the fullest. In her 79 years on Earth she lived what would take others thousands of years to live and she did it all so gracefully. While we may mourn now, we will rejoice the rest of our lives knowing she made us the people we are today and in doing so, we keep her memory alive. We never said hasta luego, it was always hasta mañana. Until that tomorrow comes, you’ll be in our hearts. I Love You, abuelita. 

While I will miss my grandma, I will also treasure the time we spent together. I remember sleeping over at her house, playing various games throughout. We played card games and dominoes the most, which were always fun. She told us stories of her life and always tried to make sure we were comfortable. She would feed us if we were hungry and play with us if we were bored. She had a passion for crafts and creating, which I truly admired. I miss you, and I love you, abuelita. 

I'm going to miss but remember fondly the times where I would play games with my grandma. It would usually either be Five Crowns or Dominos when we would play, and I'd always have fun. 

My first memory of her was at Jeff and Alma's home oh what a gracious woman , I instantly felt her love and loved her back she gave us her all .We had such fun she always made me feel so special as she did to others .We had such fun together I will never forget our travels , we saw the Detroit Tigers play which she loved. My most beautiful memory was our trip to Ireland with our Alma and my son Jeff what beautiful places we did enjoy so much . She was an inspiration in her daily devotional to her Christ Jesus .I will always love you and miss you beautiful lady

One of my favorite memories was when Tia Almita came to visit my mom (sister to Alma) for the summer in Oregon.  I learned so much from her about our family history and what her sisters and brother use to do as kids, I loved it! I also remember how much she loved her children. All she did was brag about how proud she was of her kids who at the time were younger not married yet. I loved how she expressed herself and how much she loved her siblings and family. She was a strong, smart, beautiful lady and we will all miss her. I am grateful she was there for me when mom passed and when Aunt Lu passed recently. I loved her a lot and love you guys too my beautiful cousins. God give you all strength, peace, and  assurance. Earths loss is heavens gain, we will all see you again Tia soon.......

Alma, I will keep you and yours in my prayers.  I have always admired the way you loved your Mama.  My Mom was my best friend too.  May you find strength in Gods grace.  Love ya, Kelly Whatley.
