

She lived a long rich life serving as a Nurses Aide for the Queen of Peace Nursing Home in Queens, New York, then as a School Bus Attendant for the Lee County School District.
She, along with her husband, was a devoted member of St. Raphael Parish in Lehigh Acres Florida, serving as a member and leader of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Hilda cultivated a wide circle of friends she met throughout her adult life. She loved to cook and was an avid gardener. Upon the passing of her husband she relocated to Richardson, Texas to be with family. She expanded her friend circle when she joined the Richardson Senior Center and the Tuesday Morning Bible Study, sponsored by the North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship. We will always be grateful for the friends she made and how they welcomed her.
Hilda is preceded in death by her husband Earl George Foster, son Carl Michael Antonio Foster, parents Kathleen and Archibald Francis, four brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughters Donna Ann Salongo, Antoinette Marie Foster, and Althea Celia Foster, son-in-law Paul Salongo, grandsons Elijah Salongo and Aaron Joseph Ray and granddaughters Autumn Ashley Ray and Leia Salongo. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and William Higgins and her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913, on April 29, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971, on May 8, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Entombment will follow at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913, on May 8, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
