

John (Jack) J. Hanlon, 73, of Fort Myers, Florida died unexpectedly Sunday, January 11, 2016. Born in Norristown, PA. he resided in Franklin Lakes, NJ until retiring to Florida. Jack graduated from MIT and received his Masters from Loyola College. He worked a majority of his career at Sandvik, Fair Lawn, NJ as Vice President Warehousing and Distribution. He attended the Faith United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Lucille L. (Lewis) and his son John J. M. Hanlon, his brother William C. Hanlon and wife Joy Hanlon of Medina, OH, brother in law Henry T. Lewis and wife Carolyn of Locust Grove, VA, brother in law Kenneth W. Lewis and wife Gilly of Fenton, CA, sister-in-law Jane Declet and husband Jerry of Clifton, NJ and his beloved nieces and nephews whom he adored. Jack filled his free time by volunteering for the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Lexington Country Club Bicycle Club, enjoyed sailing (racing in the Marion to Bermuda race), swimming, and reading. A memorial celebrating Jack’s life will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church, 15690 McGregor Blvd , Fort Myers, Florida on Wednesday, January 20 at 2PM.
