Linda Lee Mize

Linda was a member of Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the church community, bible study groups and bringing communion to the sick. She had been a Service Sorority member of Signa Beta Ki. Linda worked as a medical insurance biller at Clarkson Village Clinic and at St. Joseph Mercy Fox Center in Michigan. She also worked as a cashier at Publix in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She loved making phone calls, writing cards, being with family and keeping in touch with everyone in her life. Her cheerfulness and faith radiated to those around her.

Linda is survived by her husband, Roy and her five children: Shelley (Bobby) Bethea of Virginia Beach, VA, Sherri (Kevin) Owen of North Fort Myers, FL, Michael (Amy) Marcum of Bluffton, OH, Kimberly (Ken) Bradford of Apopka, FL and Diana (Joe) Freeman of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren: Katheryn, Destin, Andrew, Justin, Sophia, Jack, Nick, Tiffany, Josh, Kristen and RJ; 9 great grandchildren; her brother, Dale (Sandy) Aulgur and sister-in-law, Janice (Bob) Grimes. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Cox and grandson, Philip Owen.

Visitation will be held at Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church 11381 Gateway Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL on Thursday, January 2nd from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Memorial contributions in Linda’s name would be appreciated to Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church.
