Linda Trapnell

Doris Linda Trapnell, 79, of Fort Myers went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2020. Linda was born September 26, 1940 in Fort Myers. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Mema, and friend to all who knew her. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her company and her smart, funny, witty personality.

Linda was also a devoted employee to Publix. She started with them in 1978 and made Deli Manager in 1989. She led her crew in the deli till she retired in 2003. At Publix, she was known as Granny. Her family and friends also knew her as Mama T.

In addition to her parents (Rufus and Mildred Yent), Linda is preceded in death by her son, Jay Trapnell. Survivors include her son, Jeff Trapnell and daughter, Jessica Wolter. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Monday, June 15th at 2:00pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Ft Myers, FL 33913 with a graveside service to follow at 3:00pm.

Due to COVID-19, precautions are being taken. Please wear a mask inside at the visitation. The service will be held outside so mask is optional but social distancing is expected.

Celebration of Life will be at 4:00pm (9350 Los Alisos Way, Fort Myers, FL 33908). Please use the guest entrance on Gladiolus Dr.
