Lois Mae Charles

Lois was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on August 20, 1936, to Walter and Margaret Jacobson. A resident of Gardner, Massachusetts area until 1974 when she resided in Fort Myers, Florida area until present.

Lois was a 1954 graduate of Templeton High School. Then graduated from Henri School of Hair Design and became a hairdresser. Later in life she became a dental and medical office manager in Massachusetts and Florida for many years. She was baptized and a member of the Lutheran Church growing up in Gardner, Massachusetts and ended up at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in North Fort Myers, Florida. Lois was married to George Charles Jr. for 55 years until his passing on March 28, 2011.

Lois is predeceased by her parents, and two sisters, Eleanor & Norma Burnham.

Lois is survived by her twin sister, Phyllis Kliskey; her children Kirk (Gayla) Charles and Mark (Derbria) Charles; her grandchildren Kelly, Aaron, Jessica, and Daniel; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 16th at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 SR 82 Fort Myers, FL 33913. Visitation will be from 10:30AM to 11:00AM with the service of remembrance to start at 11:00AM. A graveside service will follow at 12:00PM.
