

Hazel “Lucille” Hopkins Forrester, 87, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Waynesburg, PA and Columbus, OH, died on August 4, 2016. Lucille was born on February 14, 1929 in Swarts, PA to the late William Frank and Hazel (Shoup) Hopkins. She graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1947, and was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus, OH. She married Roy E. Forrester on July 5, 1970, who passed away on August 15, 1998.
Lucille is survived by her son, Jerry (Maxine) Rutan, Waynesburg, PA; her daughter, Linda (Chuck) McKee, Fort Myers, FL; 2 grandsons, Logan (Melissa) Rutan, Waynesburg, PA, and Ryan (Julie) Kelley, Canonsburg, PA; 3 great-grandchildren, Megan Kelley, and Arianna and Liam Rutan; her first husband, Floyd (Betty) Rutan, Jr., Waynesburg, PA., and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by 5 brothers, John (Flip), Glen (Web), Alva, Paul (Shike), and William (Jr) Hopkins; adopted brother Merle Hull; and 3 sisters, Mildred Finch, Betty Smith, and Helen Beabout.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 26, 2016 at Prosperity Cemetery, Prosperity, PA.
