Maria Margarita Acevedo

Maria Margarita Acevedo, age 80, of Coral Springs, Florida, and formerly of Lehigh Acres, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born in Cuba on October 17, 1945, Maria carried her heritage, her strength, and her kindness with her throughout her life.

Maria leaves behind her beloved children, Fernando (Emma) Acevedo, Jesus (Cynthia) Acevedo, and Mercedes Del Carmen Acevedo; her cherished grandchildren; and her brother, Pedro Garcia. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Angel and Georgina; her husband, Fernando Jesus Acevedo; her twin brother, Angel Garcia; her brother, Jorge Garcia; her sister, Dulce Rodriguez; her granddaughter, Jannelle Arvelaez; and her nephew, Benny Rodriguez.

A visitation to honor and remember Maria will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida, on Saturday, December 6, from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
