

Marjorie “Peg” Barbara Lucey, 92, of Cape Coral, formerly of Northville, MI and Ann Arbor, MI died October 8, 2011. She was born Dec. 5, 1918 in Ann Arbor to Harry H. and Louella (Oesterlin) Gillen. She was preceded in death in 1953 by her husband Wendell A. Stuber, father of their four children. She later married Harry B. Smith of Northville, MI. They retired to Cape Coral in 1969. Lt. Col. Smith passed away May 1978. She married Joseph John Lucey in 1982; he passed away Nov. 1994. Mrs. Lucey is survived by two daughters, Joan Lockwood of Denver, CO and Midge (Charles) O’Hara of Placida, FL; two sons, Richard (Elsa) Stuber of Ann Arbor and Cape Coral and Robert (Pat) Stuber of Brighton, MI and one step-son, Roger Smith of East Lansing, MI; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
In her youth Peg won speed skating, diving medals and tennis trophies. She loved all sports and actively played tennis and golf in her later years. She enjoyed her motor home traveling with her beloved cat Polly and especially enjoyed all the wonderful friends she made along her many journeys. She was one of the first members of the Good Sam Club and was a Life Member.

Visitation at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home in Fort Myers, will take place Saturday, October 15th, 11am to 12 pm with service and burial to immediately follow.
