Martin is survived by his wife, Alethia R. Charles; children: Martin (Angela) Charles, Jacqueline (Pascal) Terraz, Melissa (Harry) Matchett and Dennis (Yvonne) Lewis; grandchildren: Gabriella and Severiano Rodriguez, Jacob Matchett and Jamie and Charmaine Lewis; brother, Carl Charles; nephew and nieces: Laurent, Liana, Barbara and Chiroma “Chi Chi”; sister-in-law/”daughter”, Evelyn Pruedhomme and sister-in-law, Janice LaCroix; brothers-in-law: Jules Pruedhomme and Elisha St. John; two special grandnieces: Naomi and Samantha Nixon and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel and Midriella Charles and brothers and sisters: Eric Charles, Monica Jones, Maria Aberdeen and Richard Charles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, August 17th at Fort Myers Seventh Day Adventist Church 3451 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33905. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Martin’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
