Mary Obrien Hess

Mary “Molly” Fogarty O’Brien Hess was born Oct. 12, 1938 in Green Bay, WI and departed Nov. 19, 2015 in Fort Myers, FL. She graduated from East High School in 1956. She studied accounting and business law in WI and real estate at Notre Dame, IN. Molly worked as Corporate Controller for many years in the RV industry in Elkhart, IN and served as Treasurer of a home building firm. Molly has been a licensed Real Estate Agent since the early 70’s. She came to Fort Myers in 1987 and was a Realtor there for many years.

Molly was Treasurer of Family Counseling Service of Elkhart, IN, Board Member of the National Association of Accountants in Elkhart, IN. Treasurer of the Ladies of the Elks, Circle No. 1 in Fort Myers. She was a member and past board member of the Institute of Management Accounts in Fort Myers. Molly served on the board of her condo association and was a member and past Vice President of Contemporary Women’s Club of Fort Myers.

Molly is survived by her daughters, Colleen O’Brien and Kathleen O’Brien Ward both of IN; seven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Schlueter of Portland, OR and Sally Fogarty of Green Bay, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hess in 1994 and her parents, James Fogarty and Margaret Hickok.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 24th, at 9:30 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Dr., Fort Myers, FL 33919. Molly will be laid to rest at Lee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Hope Hospice at 9470 HealthPark Cir, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or Church of the Resurrection.
