Neva Faye Lockhart

Neva Faye (Jordan) Lockhart 97 of Avon Park, Florida went home to be with the Lord Saturday June 19, 2021. She was born October 17, 1923 in Replete, West Virginia, a daughter of Frank G. Jordan and Lillian Cathryn Arbogast.

Neva taught school for many years in Webster, Randolph and Upshur counties in West Virginia. . She was a member of Delta Kappa Sorority. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Masters degree from West Virginia University.

Upon moving to Lehigh Acres, Florida she became a member of McGregor Baptist Church. She and her husband Richard were active in the ministry of the church until health issues prohibited what they could do. She remained faithful to her Lord attending services in Naples and Avon Park. The last couple years she was limited to worship by watching on television.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Richard Lockhart, her parents, her grandson Chris Hughes and her brothers Frank Jordan Jr., Bayard Jordon and Bryan Jordan.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: David Lockhart of Oak Hill, FL, Dorothy Hughes(Barry Hughes) of Baltimore, Ohio, George Lockhart (Beverly Lockhart) of Avon Park, FL and Frank Lockhart(Judi Lockhart) of St. Augustine, Florida. Grandson, James Lockhart, Granddaughters: Michelle Glosson, Riqui Boyles, Becky Brown, Rachel Bowden and Kaleigh Lockhart.. Great grandchildren, Sydney Boyles, Nathan Boyles, Luke Boyles, Ethan Bowden, Clayton Brown and Aidan Bowden. Brother Paul Jordon and Sister Barbara Cisielczyk.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82 in Fort Myers on Friday, June 25th from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. The live stream can be viewed at Facebook.com/HodgesFuneralHomeatLee
