I remember the way anytime I would see you in Walmart you would always make a point to say hi, smile and hug me. In those years of my life to have someone go beyond what was expected made me feel special and wanted. It came to a point every time I would go, I hoped you would be there. Norma Carrillo was one of the greatest grandmas that i know she always cared for everyone and always made sure they were okay. I always appreciated that from you and i’m so thankful that you would always treat me like a granddaughter and always wanted to include me in everything so i didn’t feel left out. Thank you for always having me in mind and for caring about me when things weren’t good. I will truly miss you mama, just know everyone is and will always remember everything you did for us. Rest easy I love you❤️.

Ma my Normita how much I miss you already. I’m going to miss every single thing about you even you calling me Cabrona or blowing up my phone about how I should do this & that with the kids. Mamita how am I going to get through this life without you & your advice? We always need our moms & I’m going to find myself needing you but I guess God needed you more. You were always a Mama Bear very protective over me & Tina, papi, & your grand babies & I know for a fact that you are going to continue on from up there. We couldn’t have a better guardian angel than you. Mom thank you for being the best mom you could be from working 2 jobs so we could have it all & more to you protecting & caring for us so we never felt alone, for trying your best to raise amazing women, & for loving us in a way I know I will never feel that type of love again. Your love for us was something that I can’t even explain. Your tough love made me who I am today. Thank you for being an AMAZING mama for my babies. I don’t even have to describe the bond you had with them cause everyone could see it! You were their person & they were yours. The love you had for them & them for you is forever irreplaceable. I hope you knew how loved & appreciated you were. I hope you are happy up there & I know for sure you are telling everyone up there all about us & just talking their ears off about your grand babies like you did to everyone here. How lucky they are to have you. I know your life here was not easy & you endured a lot of pain & suffering but it makes me happy to know that you are now pain free & in a way better place. Mami you will forever be in my heart till we meet again. I love you & miss you more than you could ever imagine. Don’t you worry about your one & only cause Tina, the kids, and me will take good care of him & try & show him as much love as you did. Today as we said our final goodbyes to my cousin Norma I couldn’t help but feel the heartbreak her husband, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, mother, and other immediate family members were feeling.  She left a void that no one can ever fill.  Her love for her family was like no other.  I will miss her infectious laughter the most!  Till we meet again.

oh mama, how my heart aches for you. I miss you so much mama. You handed me the world on a golden platter and i can never thank you enough. You were my person. You were and are still my guardian angel. You would sit with me at my nail, toe, and eyebrow appointments no matter how many errands you had to run that day. You would drive to 5 different restaurants just to give us the food we wanted. You would watch us dance and sing even if it annoyed you. You would allow us to be ourselves and bring out the best in us. You will forever be my guardian angel mama. although you were supposed to watch me graduate college and watch me get married and grow up…God wanted you to watch from above. He has his reasons but i don’t think i can ever process how real this is. I know that as long as your spirit and soul lives you will forever protect us from evil and with that i can have the strength to accomplish anything. You were the best grandma anyone could ever ask for. No one will ever take your place mama. I will hold on to you and your lectures in my heart and just like you would tell me… “i love youuu alllllllll the way to the moon and back my princess” I will never forget you mama and as your oldest grandchild you always wanted me to protect the little cousins and defend them against anyone who messes with them and share all my stuff with them… i will do just that mama. I will love them and take care of them just like you always wanted me to. I will finish college and get a good job and become somebody just like you always wanted me to. You are forever in my heart. For now i talk to you through prayers and written notes but one day i will talk to you face to face again and greet you with the biggest smile and the tightest hug. So there it is the letter i thought i would never have to write… i love you so much mama. 


Prima Norma, you will be forever loved and missed. I always enjoyed seeing you. You were loud, happy and full of life. Just one minute with you lifted my spirits. I enjoyed talking about our past childhood memories, especially Wela Meme. You would always ask me, hey when are we having a family reunion? Family was everything to you! Please tell everyone I love and miss them very much and I will see you all one day. RIP Prima ❤️

Norma, had a beautiful smile, and made it easy to love her. The unconditional loved she showed my girls and I from day one, was untouched. She loved and accepted everyone as they were. I am going to miss her so much. With our personal conversations, she always told me how good I had it with her nephew Juanito, and I better be good to him. Lol. Yes, tía, I will take care of not only Juanito, but continue to give unconditional love just like you showed us all. I love you & never good bye but see you later. Xoxo

Norma was such a sweet and funny lady! We laughed the whole time she was with us. She made my dad so happy that she came to see him in Orlando! We enjoyed our lunch and Disney shopping with the grand babies! I’m so grateful she got to meet my boys! A memory that we will forever hold in our hearts! 💛

Oh Tia how i loved to hear your laugh and see you smile. It always brought so  much  joy to us all! Thank you for always loving me unconditionally . Always making sure i left with a full stomach and a big hug. You truly had an amazing heart. This is the only picture I have from my baby shower for my first son 14 years ago and I remember being embarrassed because I was so young and  Norma told me that I shouldn’t be ashamed to be a young mother that I was strong because I came from strong woman like her. That the woman in our family could do anything and at that moment I knew she was right. Every time I saw her I remember her beautiful smile and her great sense of humor , she would make me laugh. I loved her very much because of how sweet and kind she was and I will miss her always. 

Ay suegrita. I have no words. I thank you for being the best mother-in-law anybody can ask for. You took me in as your own son, always called me your son. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the family. I appreciate everything you have done for me and my babies. You will forever hold a place in my heart. You don’t have to worry about Jenn and my kids, i got it.

I love my mama so much and I am truly going to miss her with every bone in my body. I will never be able to look at the world the same ever again. My thoughts will only be clouded with her and the love that was given to and from her. I know that she will look over me, and the rest of our loving family. I will always remember walking into her home and having the feeling of warmth and happiness overcome my senses. I will always remember how every time I saw her she would greet me with a warm smile and call me her “precious sunshine.” She will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I love my mama dearly. I had so many favorite memories with my mama but one that sticks out to me is when she would call me beautiful everytime she saw me no matter how i looked. She would tell me how much she loves me and talked about me to everyone. My beautiful mama is now in heaven as an angel. She is forever in my heart. 🤍 I love you mama 

Norma, you will always be a caring friend and wonderful sister-in-law to me. Seeing you fight a strong battle these last few days left me with an admiration for you beyond words. The love you have for your family and friends is unmeasurable. The strength you showed even to your last breath will always be a reminder to not take life for granted. My Tia Moma that’s what I called her never Norma unless speaking to someone else asking of her. I will always have you in my heart and will never forget the braids in my hair the way you dressed me up just to do your very own photo shoot. All the fun and amazing times you and my Tio made happen not only for your girls but for my brothers and I. The way you would hug me and even shake me the many times you said I love you, even times when you would correct me. You will always live on through the memories you shared with so many people. You are now a beautiful angel God is so lucky to have you by his side. I love you so much. 

I am sorry for your lost I never got to see her but she was so beautiful woman but now she is in a better place with god she heaven now she always will watch you from there all time god bless you 

My Tía Norma.  Our lives were more intertwined  in earlier years, but there was respect and love. The OG “mama bear”. Opinionated, contagious smile, set you straight with one look, fun, and always capturing all the memories with a photo or video.  She usually dropped a story or a little nugget of advice your way, even if you didn’t ask.    Loved kids, especially her two girls and her grand babies who also called her Momma.  She kept her circle tight, and didn’t much care what others thought of how she knew exactly what she wanted out of life, love, and her family.  
She loved my Uncle fiercely and had a protective presence when it came to her fambam…until literally her last breath. 
She leaves a huge hole in the lives of her Carrillo clan. 
 watch over all of us always. May Creator open up strength and faith for all your family left behind, to keep living life in honor of your legacy.   

Apenas poco tiempo de conocerla, pero se convirtió en nuestra querida mama, fue la abuela que mi hija necesitaba tener cerca,  sus palabras siempre fueron llenas de amor para mi hija y para nuestra familia. Siempre la recordaremos como mucho amor. Te queremos y vamos a extrañarte mama.
