Patricia was born in Hingham, MA, and graduated from Hingham High School in 1973. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to caring for others in many facets of healthcare, having worked in a variety of roles, including candy striper, nurse, billing/coding specialist, financial advisor, and healthcare unit secretary in the ICU and Emergency Department. Several of her jobs allowed her to work alongside her daughter Kimberly, which was a source of great pride for both of them.
Patricia’s passion for sports was boundless. A devoted fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins, she shared this enthusiasm with her husband, son, brothers, and grandsons. She was also a proud member of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), participating in national tournaments in Las Vegas, Reno, and Syracuse, and bowling every Friday night. She loved competing in bowling tournaments, particularly women’s events in Florida, and was thrilled to attend Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta to see the Patriots' victory.
Music was another great joy for Patricia, and she attended many concerts, including one of her favorites by Barbara Streisand. Her hobbies were as diverse as her interests, and she especially loved to travel with her family, attend sporting events, and enjoy activities like bingo, gambling at casinos, boating, fishing, and snowmobiling with her son and grandchildren. She also had a special fondness for her beloved Bassett Hounds, cats, and old school cars. Above all, Patricia cherished her time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Patricia’s love for her family was unconditional, and she was loyal to the core. Family always came first, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph J. and Carolyn A. LaCombe.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Stephen R. Chapman; her children, Kimberly L. (Shaun) Harris and Keith (Kristen) Bassett; her grandchildren, CJ (Kara) Harris, KC Harris, Liberty Lynn Patricia Harris, Teagan Elizabeth Bassett, Dylan James Bagley, Brielle Patricia Bassett, Christian Joseph Bassett, and Delaney Grace Bassett; and her great-grandchildren, Aria Harris and Belle Harris.
