

On Jan. 21st,1941 Mary. D. Reid and George V. Porter became parents to a beautiful baby girl in Kingston, Jamaica named Patricia D. Thompson. At the age of 24 the love of her life sent for her to ask her hand in marriage. She migrated to England and claimed her citizenship as well as walking down the aisle and becoming Mrs. Patricia D. Morrison on Oct. 31st,1965 the wife of her beloved Aston. C. Morrison. Approximately 6 years later they migrated to the Bronx where she worked at Jacobi Hospital, she attended Wake-Eden Baptist Church and was involved in various church activities. On April 4th,1971 Patricia & Aston became parents to their daughter Lorraine S. Morrison.
In 1990, she moved to Lehigh Acres. While living here she gained employment as a CNA at Lee Memorial Hospital until she retired. She attended New Life Assembly of God Church and started missionary work. She also did prison ministry and was an elder of the church. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and attending Bible College to become an Ordained minister. She retired in 2006 to spend time with her family and friends. Over the years she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and it progressed until God called her home on Feb. 3rd, 2025 where she was surrounded by her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her daughter, granddaughter Alexis and a host of grandchildren & great grands.
Visitation for Patricia will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913 on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. A graveside service will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
