Richard "Ric" Jennings, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Joanne’s House in Bonita Springs, Florida, with his children by his side. He was 73 years old.
Ric was born on April 30, 1952, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Walter and Agnes Jennings. He was one of eleven children, growing up in a large and bustling family. He graduated from Ingram High School in 1970.
For more than 35 years, Ric worked dedicatedly in the automotive industry, a profession that perfectly suited his passion for all things mechanical. He loved to tinker, whether it was with cars, planes, boats or computers, finding joy in understanding how things worked and fixing what was broken. Ric carried his hallmark sense of humor with him during his final days and will always be remembered by those who knew him for his genuine kindness and warm spirit.
Ric is survived by his daughter, Rachel, and his son, Rich; his foster daughter, Trina; and his five grandchildren: Tyler, Brandon, Haley, Ella, and Alina. He is also survived by his siblings: Walt, Steven, Pat, Jim, Larry, David, and Theresa.
Ric was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana.
