Sandra Faith “Sandy” Sheets, 81, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Born on March 20, 1944, in Sandusky, Ohio, Sandy lived a life of dedication to her family, faith, and community.
A graduate of Sandusky High School’s Class of 1962, Sandy began her career with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside her late husband, Virgle Sheets—who preceded her in death in 2020—she co-owned the Dairy Jubilee, creating both a successful business and cherished community ties. Her professional path also included roles at the Plantation Pancake House and the Olde World Cheese Shop. Later, she worked as a teller at C&S Bank before joining Virgle once again to support his construction business. Together they built the house they lived in for 32 years.
Sandy was a devoted member of Estero United Methodist Church, where she volunteered regularly and served on the finance committee. Her faith journey was further enriched by her participation in an Emmaus Walk.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Ginger Allen and Nikki (Matt) Kichline; her son Mark (Cindy) Sheets; six grandchildren—Cody, Ben, Taylor, Maddy, Kenzie, and Parker; and five great-grandchildren—Kennedy, Luna, Kaden, Cassidy, and Oliver. She also leaves behind three siblings: Jean Gleason of Sandusky, Ohio; Ronald (Kay) Riccelli of Fort Myers, Florida; and Sueann Davis of Fort Myers, Florida.
Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved son Jeff Ogle in 2015; her parents Regina Riccelli Rushing and Roy Riccelli; and her husband Virgle Sheets.
She found joy in gardening, walking, biking through her neighborhood, and bowling with Virgle on their team. Sandy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and adventurous spirit.
May Sandra's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Joanne's House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Fl, or Shriners Hospital.
