William Joseph Hucke, 81, of Fort Myers passed away Wednesday, August 26th, 2015. Bill was born February 17th, 1934 in Queens, NY and was one of five children belonging to Josephine and Howard Hucke. At age 17, he enlisted in the Navy, served in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1955. In 1974, Bill moved to Cape Coral with his family. Soon after, he opened and ran a successful business where you could still find him working five days a week. When he wasn't at work, Bill enjoyed gardening (especially growing tomatoes), raising chickens and Koi and spending time with his dogs. He leaves behind many family members, friends and his three Shelties.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, from 6 – 8 pm at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Dr., Fort Myers. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thurs, Sept 3rd, at 11 am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Dr., Fort Myers. Entombment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
