William James Keese

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jennie Keese (Conti), and his son, Jonathan Keese.

Survived by his former wife, Mary Keese (Ron Race), their children William Keese II (Morgan) and Kristen Berganza (Matthew), and beloved grandchildren, Maggie and Jonah Keese.

Bill was also preceded in death by his partner, Doris Rodriguez, and survived by Doris’s daughters, Melissa Mitchell (Colin) and Vanessa Rodriguez.

Bill was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. He spent many years in Youngstown, NY, where he and Mary raised their children. He worked at Carborundum/St. Gobain as an engineer for 23 years before moving to Florida. He opened Il Primo Pizza & Wings in Lehigh Acres in 2005, where he successfully owned and operated the business for almost 20 years. Bill was cherished by his employees and patrons of the restaurant, whom he considered and treated as his own family.

Bill was a car enthusiast, and a member of the Gulf Coast Autocrossers. In his free time, he could always be found racing on the autocross tracks or tinkering around on anything mechanical.

He will be missed by many loved ones, friends, and community members.

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, followed by a memorial service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
