Born in the Bronx, NY, and formerly of Saratoga Springs, NY, she had been a resident of Fort Pierce, FL. for the past 22 years.
Prior to retirement, she worked for Lederle Labs in Suffern, NY for 10 years. She was a member of the Synchronized Swim Club, the Ladies Golf League, the Red Hat Society and the entertainment community at Spanish Lakes. Betty was also an avid reader. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce, FL.
Survivors include, her husband of 54 years, James M. Lovett, of Fort Pierce, FL, her children, daughters, Carol Pollina, of South Carolina, Barbara Nicosia, of Rensselaer, NY, and son Peter Grassi, of Saratoga Springs, NY, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Rd., Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Ft. Pierce, FL.
