Lucy was born in Springfield, IL and had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 28 years coming from Michigan.
Lucy enjoyed crafts and was an avid golf and tennis player. She was a member of the Plum Hollow Country Club in Pontiac, MI. Lucy was a member of the Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
Survivors include her grand niece, Karen Day, of Bronxville, NY.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Schoonover and nephew, John Day.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30pm on Sunday , May 31, 2015 at Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. An Interment was held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
