George Terry Jr.

In 1948 George joined the Navy, he was proud to have served in the Navy where he served 18 months on Guam and the rest aboard the USS Pollux as the Post Master.

After 31 years, he retired from the North St Lucie River Water Management District as a heavy equipment operator.

George’s family was his whole life. In July 1956 he met Norma Jean Andrews of Stuart and they were married in December.

He is survived by his wife, Norma and two daughters, Jean Hall of Fort Pierce, FL, Joan Marino (husband Thomas P. Marino), of Port St Lucie, FL; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Brown, of San Antonio, TX, Shannon Brown, of Orlando, FL, Leanna Hall, of Clearmont, FL and Robert Terry Brown, of Houma, LA.

George was preceded in death by his father, George Terry Sr, mother, Edith H. Terry, sister, May Sims (husband Lonnie), brothers Robert Terry Sr., Alec and Ernest Terry, sisters, Mable Terry and Bertha Barlett (husband Charles).

A Visitation will be held 11:00am - 1:00pm with a Funeral Service at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. An Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
