

Geraldine (Gerry) was born in Adams, NY and raised three daughters with her first husband, Richard W. Robinson. After their divorce, she moved to Maryland and continued her career with the U.S. Army. She received an Associate Degree from Anne Arundel Community College and was selected as an intern in Budget Management for the U. S. Army. In June of 1978, she married George A. Springer and the two of them accepted a three year contract to work in Germany as civilian employees. Gerry was a budget officer for the First Army in Ansbach, Germany. She received many commendations for her outstanding performance on the job and her relationship with the German populace. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Business and Professional Women’s Association.
Gerry was an avid reader, enjoyed travelling (especially cruises), gardening, playing the organ and dancing. Her love of music inspired her to open and establish Gerry’s Music Education Center in Ft. Pierce.
She is survived by her husband George, her daughters Elizabeth (Betty) Hunter, Palmyra, NY, JoAnn (Jody) Anderson, Melbourne, FL, Teri Tyner, Carthage, NY, Anita Kochis, Flanders, NJ and a son, David Springer, Hammonton, NJ, eleven grand children and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held 1-3 pm on Monday, January 19th, 2015 with a service at 3pm at the Aycock Funeral Home in Ft. Pierce, FL.
