Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 15 years coming from Fair Lawn, NJ .
Prior to retirement Jack worked in PSEG of N.J. Jack had been a beekeeper, serving as president of the Northeast Beekeepers Association. He had also been active with the Boy Scouts of America.
Jack was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise Hermans, of Fort Pierce; sons, John P. Hermans (Sandy), of Ft. Pierce, Steven Hermans(Cyndy); of Durham N.C. daughter, Debra Villano (Anthony);of Fair Lawn, N.J, brother, Robert Hermans(Muriel); of Ft. Pierce and R.I., sister, Lorinda McFadyen, of Hopkinton, R.I., 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2015 at 11:00am at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
