Karon Pacot Drew

Karon was born in Danville Illinois and grew up in nearby Calin Illinois. She graduated from Catlin High school and Danville Beauty School.

Karon married her high school sweetheart Larry Drew shortly after she finished beauty school. In 1967 they moved to Florida, finally settling in Fort Pierce.

Karon worked at her children’s school, Indian River Academy for 15 years, Hightower & Staten photography for 4 years and Riverside Bank for 17 years.

After retirement, Karon joined Cora Stickly Harpor Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She held the offices of Regent, Vice President, 2nd Vice Regent and Register. She was chairperson of several committees including president and vice president of the Treasure Coast Regent Council.

Karon was preceded in death by her parents William Pacot and Joanne Garrard Pacot and one brother Garrard Pacot. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Larry Drew, one daughter Deanna Whisner (Kenny) of Fort Pierce, two sons Christopher Drew (Claudia) of Orlando and Matthew Drew (Jessica) of Fort Pierce, Four grandchildren Charlotte Drew, Christine Drew, Alex Drew, and Dillon Drew, one sister Jill Pacot, and two brothers Tony Pacot (Susan) and Jack Pacot. Numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on October 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce, FL.
