Luz Maria Colon

Luz Maria Colon, 71, passed away May 6, 2014 at her residence in Vero Beach, FL.

Luz was born in Puerto Rico and had been a resident of Orlando and Vero Beach for 27 years coming from Springfield, MA.

Prior to retirement Luz was a social worker with Children and Family Services in North Hampton, MA. She was a Jehovah Witness.

She is survived by her husband, George Luis Colon Sr.; children, Floribel Colon, Carmen Reconco, George Luis Colon Jr., Moises Colon, Janitza Fernandez; grandchildren, Juan Ocasio Jr., Janibell Marie Hernandez, Emmanuel Rodriguez, PriscillaMarie Rodriguez, Jaleen Marie Colon, George Luis Colon III, Jacinto Sicardo, Princess Marie Colon, Moises Colon Jr, Briannah Maree Colon, Joslynn Rose Colon, Taylor Christian Colon; and great grandchildren, Juan Manuel Ocasio III, Miguel Anjel Ocasio, Giovanni Ocasio, Daleen Lilian Irizarry, Leilani Alexandra Rodriguez, Duncan Reinaldo Irizarry, Avaleigh Rodriguez, Zulmah Izabelle Coger and Skyeler James Clarysse.

A visitation will be held 2-3pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Aycock Funeral Home. An Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
