She is predeceased by her parents James and Sarah Higgins, her beloved husband Philip A Kornely Jr., son Philip Kornely III, brother Robert Higgins and sister Joan Heichert. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Clements, Diane Stedfelt and Maryann Kornely, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mary was a devoted wife of 72 years. While living in New York and raising four children Mary volunteered with the Girl Scouts, St Mary's Church in East Islip and Montfort Missionary Auxiliary in Bay Shore.
After moving to Spanish Lakes 38 years ago, Mary enjoyed golfing, bocce ball and swimming. She dedicated her masterful crocheting talent to making treasured blankets and personalized Christmas stockings for her entire family.
A funeral mass for Mary will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Anastasia Catholic Church Located at 407 S 33rd St, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. A visitation will occur Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
