He is survived by his wife, and best friend of 48 years, Susan La Mantia, his mother Florence, his sister Gloria, and brothers Joseph Dean (Sheilah) and Daniel, his son Jim Sorrell's (Karen) Granddaughters Stephanie and Kelsey, grandson Jesse and 6 great grandchildren; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Highland High School in 1968 and entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1969. He did 2 tours in Vietnam and completed his active service in 1979. He was an experienced sailor and captain of many vessels.
Milton loved and was loved by many friends. He was actively involved in children's church because of his love for the children and their hugs. He also prayed constantly because after all, he always said, "prayer is free."
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Anthony La Mantia.
Susan has suspended services until Milton's urn can be placed in the casket with her, upon her death.
