Robert Joseph Kearns

Robert (Bob) Kearns, age 62, of Hobe Sound, FL, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 14th, 2026.

Bob was born October 3, 1963 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Ronald Kearns and Judith (Ciglar) Kearns.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years Susan Macumber Kearns; his two children, Oliver Kearns (Lauryn), and Molly Stuhr (Greyson); his two granddaughters, Amelia Kearns, Sophia Stuhr and grandson on the way; his siblings, Robin Kearns (Mark McGuire), Dawn Dow (Richard), Patricia Samoskevich (Fred), Ronald Kearns (Sarahanne) and John Kearns (Jennifer); along with nieces and nephews, Erin McGuire Schroeder, Heather McGuire. Ryan McGuire, Elisha Dow Zanfardino, Nicole Dow Knauth, Kaitie Dow Jensen, Melissa Samoskevich, Madison and Matthew Samoskevich, Ashley Kearns and Sarah Kearns and extended family, all of whom he loved deeply.

He graduated from Shelton High School, Class of 1981. Bob went to work with his Dad at Danbury Sheet Metal. He moved on to Sikorsky in Stratford, CT. He got transferred in 1986 to the Florida site in West Palm, and never looked back. He loved the game of golf and was able to live on a golf course for a few years.

Over the years Bob held many positions, true to his nature. He always found the silver lining, he made the work place fun. Bob will be deeply missed by many though his stories, corny jokes and will always be remembered.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours from 12:30PM-2PM on Monday, March 23th, 2026, at the Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 N US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL followed by a service from 2-3PM. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to your favorite charity.
