Terry Lange, age 60, passed away in Fort Pierce, Florida, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born on Long Island, New York to Donald and Elaine Lange. He decided to join the Coast Guard at the age of 17. At his first station in North Carolina he met and married the love of his life, Julie Payne. Terry and Julie enjoyed traveling the United States together and raising their two children Prairie and Thorn during his time with the Coast Guard. He shared with his family a love of animals, and the great outdoors. There were numerous fishing trips and nature walks. His last tour found him and his family in Fort Pierce, Florida where he decided to retire after 30 years of service. Terry could not stay away from the water for long, therefore he started clam farming. Eventually he was gifted with two beautiful granddaughters and spent many hours playing tea party and monster hunting. Terry has touched many lives and made an abundance of lifelong friends throughout his journey, friends who became like family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years (Julie), son (Thorn), daughter (Prairie), two granddaughters (Lainey and Nyilae), and sister Johanna.
