He was born in Emporium, Pennsylvania to Thomas S. and Olive C. Brown Milton. Thomas lived in Okeechobee for 30 years, coming from Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Milton served in the United States Navy for 20 years as a cook and baker. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee.
He is predeceased by his wife Julia and a brother Ronald Milton.
Survivors include his daughter Dianna Helton, and her husband Alan, of Vero Beach, Florida; grandsons Robert Helton of Vero Beach, Florida, and Jeffrey Helton of Canton, Georgia; great grandchildren Chloe and Noah; and a brother William Milton of Emporium, Pennsylvania.
Graveside services will be 11 AM on Thursday, September 30, 2010, with military honors, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
