(Continued from previous installment  of my memories of Vic)  Victor proudly served in WWII and was one of the last remaining members of "The Greatest Generation".  After returning to our wonderful country, for which he had fought, he married his very lovely sweetheart, Moira.  He cherished his adorable wife, who has the sweetest personality.  They were a perfect couple together for 72 years.  They have 2 exemplary and devoted sons, Michael, and Dennis, whom Vic dearly loved.  The world was, and is a much better place, because this very special man was here.  He will be sorely missed.  Victor was a man with strong faith.  And he possessed supreme goodness.  I know he is in Heaven with the Lord.  My mom, who was of German extraction, always said,                           " Never say good-bye, say "Auf Wiedersehen".  So, with a tear(s) in my eye(s), I say that, now, to you, my beloved friend, Vic, "Auf Wiedersehen".  Sincerely, Jacqueline Becker (Jackie)                  

I am deeply saddened today, as I know so many are as well, to lose this gem of a man, my dear friend, Victor Ingenito.  He will never be forgotten, but I am also celebrating his life today for so many reasons.  He was a man of the utmost integrity.  In everything, he gave his all with his heart and soul.  Victor was a gentleman in the truest sense.  He had the very highest character, from the old school.  He was a strong man of values, but was also very much a gentle man of kindness and humility.  Vic had a heart of gold and wanted and tried to help others, offering that without hesitation.  He always had a big smile that would warm your heart any time and, especially, when you were down.  He uplifted you with positive or comforting words and a cheerful disposition.  He could be very funny and was a natural at telling you a joke, making you laugh quite heartily.  I can not say enough wonderful things about him.  He was very friendly and personable to all he met, a stellar human being.  Self-effacing, he played down his talents and his kindly characteristics.  In his life's work, he was an excellent chef at several fine restaurants.  Forty years ago, at one of those establishments, I, as an employee, first had the great pleasure of meeting this thoughtful person, Vic.  He had the admiration and respect of all of the staff, management and owners.  The clientele  so enjoyed his culinary creations and would rave about the delectable food, that he so adeptly and lovingly prepared.  Vic loved to give of himself, gladly doing charitable work, providing  his uniquely talented skills as a chef, for many years.  Vic and his dear wife, Moira, displayed their love and kindness to animals, giving loving homes to several strays, shelter rescues, and orphaned cats and dogs.  One, having been struck by a vehicle on a highway, was provided medical care, love and comfort and a happy life with them.
