Alfred Behnke

1931 – 2017

Alfred Behnke, formerly of Lipton, Saskatchewan passed away in Echo Lodge, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the age of 86 years.

Alfred was predeceased by his wife Zelmira (Trithardt) in 1997; grandson R. Aaron Behnke; parents Rudolf and Elizabeth (Rathgaber) Behnke; and siblings and in-laws: Helen Pahl, Emilie (Leonard) Trithardt, Louise (Alex) Trithardt, Rudolph Haas, Elsie (Charlie) Bahsler, Henry & Martha Trithardt, Gus & Lena Trithardt, Emil & Martha Trithardt, Bill & Eleanor Trithardt. He is survived by his son Richard (Esther) and their family: Calle, Tyrel, Lijah (Carissa) and Breanna (Gord) Bradford and great grandchildren: Kyle, Rachel, Alex, Dexter, Logan, Katelyn and Jayna; daughter Dorothy (Jerry) Holfeld and their family: Bracham (Brenda), Chaunary (Sara), Braydan (Nerissa), Cal (Holly), Chanella (Kennedy) Thompson and Pryston (Vanessa) and great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Ethan, Teagan, Jeneen, Alyssa, Cruze, Stefan, Emmitt and Naomi; son Ronald (Wanda) and their family: Jared (Jessica), Sonya (Jonny) Canestrini, Michelle (Jon) Heintz and great grandchildren: Haylee, Heidi and Eva; daughter Judy (Donald) Wesa; sister-in-law Carol Haas and also numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held in the Lipton Evangelical Missionary Church, Lipton, SK on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James Graham officiating. Interment in Lipton Memorial Gardens.
