

Elliott is from Pasqua First Nation with maternal ties on Muscowpetung First Nation. Elliott was predeceased by his maternal grandfather James Keepness Sr.; paternal grandparents Albert and Agathe Cyr and numerous close relatives and friends.
Elliott is survived by his maternal Kokum Isabelle Keepness; parents Esther and Monty Cyr; wife Thomasine Kaiswatum-Cyr; his son Shaun Rushleau (Rebecca); daughters Elena Kinequon and Reezin Kaiswatum; grandchildren: Arianna, SJ, Alera and Raiden; siblings: Gwen (Mike), Stacey (Tony), Sharra (Mandan), Lisa (Perry), Candy, Jenelle (Shaun) and Tim (Lisa) and numerous close relatives and friends too great to mention.
Elliott will always be remembered for his patience, kindness, humility, choice of music (Jump-Vanhalen) and deadly ninja moves. Elliott was a man of many trades, but he took a keen interest to masonry and mechanics. Elliott loved his wife Thomasine, their children and family dearly. Elliott was so excited to marry Thomasine and wanted nothing more than to provide a home and a good life for them.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the first responders and Southey RCMP for their care and compassion they provided to Elliott and the family. A special thank you goes out to Pasqua First Nation and those who have expressed their thoughts and prayers to the family, Elliott will be missed deeply by us all.
The farewell service was held in the Chief Ben Pasqua Memorial Hall, Pasqua First Nation on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with officiant Senior Pastor Edmund Jordan of Kingdom Fire ministry. The interment followed in the Cyr Family Cemetery on Pasqua First Nation.
