

He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Amy; siblings: Winnie (Jim) Elder, Phyllis (Gordon) Ludlow, Dorothy (Ivan) Switzer and Ken; in-laws Ernie, Liz and Bob Hull.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Joyce; children: Greg, Debbie (Len) Chelack and Larry (Holly); grandchildren: Andrew, Rob (Jenn), Kailey, Dana and Jeffrey; in-laws: Marge Lowe, Marilyn (Don) Stradecki and Tom (Margaret) Hull.
Gordon was born November 18, 1929 on the family farm at Balcarres. He worked the farm all his life and was actively involved until his passing. He enjoyed his cattle and harvesting a good crop. He was actively involved and served his community on numerous boards. He was a councillor for the R.M. of Abernethy for 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He sang with the Balcarres Fireside Singers until they retired. Gordon played ball and was an avid curler. He and Joyce enjoyed watching sports and were season ticket holders to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 37 years. He loved his family and was proud of their accomplishments.
Gordon will be fondly remembered for his humour and will be forever in our hearts.
A public graveside service will be held in the Balcarres Cemetery, Balcarres on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
