Gwain Hastie

On Saturday, February 20, 2016 Gwain Hastie, Balcarres, Sask. died suddenly at the age of 58 years.

Gwain was born in Balcarres, SK on August 24, 1957.

He was predeceased by his mother Amy and son Ryan.

He is survived by his father Eric Hastie, son Mason, sister Joni (Vic) Carriere, niece Stacey (Cory) Palidwar, nephew Chris (Taryn) Coulthard and many cousins and other family members who will miss him greatly.

Gwain was born and raised in Balcarres, SK. After high school he received his Journeyman Plumbing Certificate at Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon. After graduating he moved back home to work with his dad, Eric, at Hastie's Plumbing and Heating. Gwain enjoyed spending time at the cabin at Katepwa Beach. He also spent a number of years as a volunteer fire fighter for the Balcarres Fire Department.

A graveside service will be held in Balcarres Cemetery at later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Balcarres Fire Department, Box 130, Balcarres, SK S0G 0C0 as tokens of remembrance.
