John touched many lives and he led a happy joyous life. He worked hard and loved his family beyond measure; he was particularly fond of babies and little children and doted on his grandchildren. Many happy and memorable years were spent at grandpa’s beach on Pasqua lake, fishing and riding in his little green motor boat. Sing songs around the campfire while dad played the mouth organ and we all sang and knew every Wilf Carter song that was written.
He will be missed but we find peace in knowing that he is safe and free from pain in heaven. The funeral service will be held in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Fort Qu’Appelle on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Guggenmos officiating. Following a reception in Our Saviour Church there will be a family interment service in Lakeview Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful caring staff at Balcarres Integrated Centre as well as Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
