Kevin Boyd Braithwaite, beloved son, father, brother and uncle passed away peacefully with family by his side on the evening of Friday Jan. 28, 2022, at the age of 55. Kevin fought with courage until the end, and is now freed from the confines of his illness, and he is at peace and full of happiness. Kevin was a
simple, hard-working man that enjoyed his family and especially his cattle farm, and to ride his good ol horse Lil. He enjoyed a good cigarette or (pack) and mainlining coffee. A good steak or seafood meal and don't forget his sweet tooth. Kevin enjoyed a good joke and nothing better then to pull off the ultimate prank. Kevin worked tirelessly on his farm and worked for the Public Works Department of Fort Qu'Appelle starting as a labourer and ending as the foreman for almost 30 years before his illness made it too difficult.
Kevin was predeceased by his eldest son Adam in June of 2020, his paternal grandparents Murray and Evelyn Braithwaite and his maternal grandparents Joe and Lillian Stoker.
Kevin leaves to mourn his passing with love filled and grateful hearts: his parents Tom and Delores Braithwaite, his children Matthew (Jessica) and grand-twins coming in June, daughter Danica (Brenden) and daughter-in-law Sara, and the mother of his children Michelle.
Kevin also leaves to mourn his brother Brad (Tammy) their children Landon (Stephanie, Vaughn and Soren), Megan (Erik and Kiona); his sister and 4-H partner Lois Harvey (Doug) their children Shanae (Preston), Alyssa Montgrand (Jordan and Atley), and Destan; his sister Rhonda McGregor (Darryl
and Jared). Many relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Echo Lodge Care home in Fort Qu'Appelle for the care provided to Kevin and to us and him at the time of his passing.
There was a family viewing held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Tubman Funeral Home, Fort Qu'Appelle. A private graveside service of cremated remains will take place in the Spring of 2022.
Donations in memorial to Kevin may be made to the Canadian Institute for the Blind or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Have a smoke, a good cup of coffee or a rum and smile for a soul has been set free ....
