He attended school at both Violette and Balcarres schools. He went on to study Agriculture at the U of S and then returned to the farm for the summers. Winters would find him in Alberta or the NWT working seismic, but always returning to the farm in the spring. Jack taught gun safety for several years while also enjoying target shooting himself. Other interests he had over the years were photography, astronomy, computers and participating on blogs. He was a loyal fan of the Roughriders.
Jack is survived by his sister, Gwen (Gary); nephew Rob (Kelly), Sarah and Meghan; niece Susan (Corey), Rene, Jenna, Braden; and niece Laura (Kris), Keenan and Kaden. Jack also had a close relationship with our cousin Don Enns.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Balcarres Golden Age Centre with officiant Rev. Jo Mader.
