Doreen Hewitt

June 14, 1935 - November 11, 2022

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness her family announces the passing of Doreen

HEWITT (87) on November 11, 2022. She was born in Topland, Alberta. She passed away

with peace and dignity after losing her battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her children Rob and Lisa, Bev and

Doug, Maureen and Morgan, her grandchildren Brendon, Meghan, Rob, Lacey, Antonio,

Jessica, Archie, Cody, Nathan, Alex, Kristen, Cameron, Danielle, Ashlyn and Abby and her

great grandchildren Gabriela, Miguel, Maguire, Max, Enzo, Emilia, Charlie, Rocky, Otto and

Avery.

She was predeceased by her father John, sister Inez, mother Helen and Albert, her beloved

husband of 57 years. Albert and Doreen lived together in happiness and will rest together in

peace. She is survived by her sister Janet and brother John.

Doreen lived a full life as an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed

many things including gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and crafting. But her greatest

love was her family.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring as we come together to remember the many

ways Doreen touched our lives.

As a lifelong resident and volunteer in Bon Accord and an avid reader we feel it is only fitting

that memorial donations may be made to the Bon Accord Public Library, Box 749, Bon

Accord, Alberta T0A 0K0.
