A faithful follower of Jesus, Liz was always ready with encouragement and prayer. Liz was a strong, stable influence to her family and friends who felt how much she loved them. Liz was an amazing cook, a very classy woman and always knew what she wanted. She was honest, stalwart, a lover of flowers and known, on occasion, to raise a plant or two from the dead. She took up painting at 85 and in-so-doing became a prolific artist.
Liz is survived by her children, Sharron (Gary Dee), Shirley (Emile Lagasse), Terry (Kent Macfarlane), Randy Huculak, Judy (Doug Pedersen); 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren with another on the way.
Liz was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim; her siblings, Molly, Nancy, Anne, William, Olga; and her parents, Luke and Eva.
We’d like to thank Dr. Inyang-Otu, palliative Dr. G, all the nurses, aides and staff at Laurier House in Sherwood Park for the exceptional care and compassion Liz received over the last 10 years. They were her second family and she loved and appreciated them.
A Celebration of Liz’s life will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Abundant Life Christian Church, 7676 Wagner Rd NW, Edmonton, AB. Family and friends may pay their respects one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Abundant Life Missions.
