It is with deep sadness that the family of Kane Morgan Lewis “Morgan” announce his passing. Morgan passed away on July 29th surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Morgan leaves behind his beloved wife Heather who he shared his greatest journey with for 17 wonderful years. He is survived by her sons Robert Stevens (Jeanelle), Andrew Stevens (Amanda) and Daniel Stevens as well as his step daughter Melinda Cordick who loved him greatly. Adored Papa Morgan to Marly, Jacob, Rilea and Harrison. Morgan will be fondly remembered by his brothers Greg Lewis (Leslie), Sherry Peterson (Russ), Shane Lewis (Cindy), Tracey Courtepatte (Lee) and his sister Kelly Lewis. He will be deeply missed by his in laws James Clark (Bonnie), Doug Clark (Susan) and Janet Pook (Greg) along with numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.
Morgan had an amazing sense of humor and would make friends wherever he went. He was a military man and was very proud to serve his country. He was a giant of a man who in the best of ways commanded attention when he walked in a room, he would always walk out with new friends and brighten the lives of all those he met.
Morgan was loved by all who knew him and will always be remembered. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Palliative Home Care Team and the staff at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for their care and compassion along with everything they did for Morgan.
A celebration of Morgans Life will be held on Friday August 4th, 2023 at the Pioneer House 10102 100 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 1Y6 at 11 a.m.
