

Lawrence Orey Pasko (nicknamed Rick) of Gibbons, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, Dec 12, at the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. After succumbing to an episode of pneumonia. He was 61 years old.
Rick was born on 9 Oct 1958, in Dauphin, Manitoba, to parents Muriel Pasko and Lawrence Pasko. Rick’s father Lawrence worked in the coal mines near Edson Alberta where he met Muriel. Rick and his seven siblings lived in many places when Rick was a child including Wildwood, Spruce grove, Robb, and Edmonton.
As a young adult Rick worked in many jobs, and in later years he painted inside houses and apartments, and as a painter. He trained his brother in this as well. Rick enjoyed swimming and music, and was a big fan of Stampede Wrestling. He enjoyed attending these and other wrestling events. Rick enjoyed the company of neighbour friends and socializing with people. Rick especially enjoyed travelling to sunny climates and sitting in the sunshine. In later years he travelled to Florida, California (Disneyland), and BC and other places across Canada.
Rick enjoyed visiting with family, he was good with small children and enjoyed spending time with them. Rick was known to enjoy just about all desserts, except chocolate!
In the last few years Rick moved to a care home in Gibbons Alberta, he lived here with some other adults and enjoyed teasing the other occupants of the home by writing humorous notes to them, and commenting on how long it was taking some of them to complete a jigsaw puzzle. His sense of humour was enjoyed there and will be missed.
Rick was a quiet and soft spoken gentleman. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and good friends.

Rick is pre-deceased by his parents, Lawrence Pasko and Muriel Pasko
Funeral service will be held at Fort Saskatchewan First Memorial Funeral Services - Riverview Chapel chapel) at 11090 86 Avenue at 11 AM on Monday December 23, 2019. There will be an open casket for viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow at a later date. For those who wish memorial donations in memory of Rick can be made to the Stollery Hospital, in Edmonton.
