Marcel was born in March 1968 in Spijkenisse, The Netherlands. Marcel served his country for 6 years as an engineer; then, went on to work for Van Seumeren, now known as Mammoet, for 21 years.
Marcel lived for his family and friends. He loved music and the open road on his Harley Davidson with his wife and brothers.
Marcel is survived by his wife, Doris; his daughter, Serena (Sander); his step-sons, Kody (Megan), Andrew (Breya), Branden (Riham), and Bryce; his parents, Jan and Sheila; his mother, Marian; his brother, Stephan (Saskia); his niece, Sarah; and nephew, Joey; and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Legion Normandy Room, 9964 – 93 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm.
