It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Bob Stevens (86 years) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris; his 3 sons, Robert (Dawn), Richard (Gail), Kevin (Julie); his daughter, Carol (Adam) Dietterie; 12 grandchildren, Robbie (Jeanelle), Andrew (Amanda), Daniel, Rebecca Friesen, Richard (Stephanie), Sharon, Brodie, Riley, Michel L’heureux, Megan, Chris, and Matthew; 5 great-grandchildren, Marley, Jacob, Rilea, Richard, and Olivia. Also remembering him are his nephews, and his family in BC; and his ‘little Yorkie buddy’, Mia.
Bob was born and raised in Victoria, BC, moving to Edmonton with the military when he met his love, Doris. Bob made many dear friends during his posting and continued those friendships through his socializing in the Provost Association. After retiring from the military, Bob became head of security at the Alberta Museum. Bob and Doris enjoyed a wonderful retirement together in their golden years. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Stevens; his sister, Joyce; and an infant daughter, Shelley Anne.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at St Georges Anglican Church with Eric Kregel officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital and the staff at the Heartland Community Hospice for the extraordinary care given to Bob. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heartland Community Hospice gratefully appreciated.
